Don Lanham: Chief Marketing Officer
Don Lanham has been guiding 4G Metro, LLC since its inception. Lanham is experienced in international marketing: he facilitated the design and deployment of a WiFi digital-advertising program using 40-inch LCD video screens and interactive elements spread across the 17-catamaran ferry-boat fleet in Brisbane, Australia. With the success of the Australia WiFi ferry-boat project, Lanham saw the opportunity to bring similar technology to America’s metropolitan mass-transit systems. He also recognized the related need to bring to market large-scale, city-wide high-speed wireless Internet connections. Lanham joined with Mike Timmins, Bryan Solomon to form 4G Metro and continues to be a driving force in making 4G’s vision a reality.
Mike Timmins: President
Mike Timmins co-founded 4G Metro and, together with Bryan Solomon, authored 4G Metro’s technical business plan to provide wireless Internet access for public transit systems and broad-based metro mesh wireless network systems. Prior to 4G Metro, Timmins gained extensive experience in the wireless and Internet service provider (ISP) industry. Timmins was also instrumental in the design and installation of the first city-wide WiFi network in the state of Texas. He has been actively involved in efforts to promote the wireless industry, including frequent speaking engagements and lobbying of the Texas legislature regarding technical and other issues and regulation.
Bryan J. (Jackie) Solomon: Chief Technical Officer
A founding member of 4G Metro, Jackie Solomon functions in the dual capacity of CTO and lead engineer. Solomon collaborates closely with 4G’s partners, contractors and vendors to coordinate all aspects of project design and implementation. Together with President Mike Timmins, Solomon is also responsible for developing 4G Metro's technical business plans associated with deploying public-transit and metro-mesh wireless Internet-access systems. Before joining 4G Metro, Solomon spent several years in the computer and Internet service provider industries. He is a recognized authority on the provisioning of WiFi services to rail systems and metropolitan areas.
Joe A. Potthoff: President, WiFi Consulting
Joe Potthoff joined forces with 4G Metro soon after its founding, bringing more than three decades of private- and public-sector planning, consulting and strategy expertise to the 4G Metro management team. Potthoff possesses specialized knowledge of architecture, urban planning, and future studies – obtained in part during his years of experience as Director of Planning for the cities of Arlington, Tex. and Bellevue, Wash.
