Wireless Communications for All

The officers and engineers of 4G Metro, LLC have been engaged in the Internet, Internet service provider (ISP) and Wireless communications business for 10 years – bringing the:

  • community-development
  • growth
  • commercial
  • and entertainment

… benefits of high-speed, broadband networking to cities, professionals and home users alike. 4G Metro specializes in bringing the full power of wireless communications to communities of both mobile and fixed users.

Wireless Communications for Municipalities
In recent years, members of 4G Metro’s management and technical team have focused on providing a variety of wireless communications and applications to both community members and municipal organizations. In 2005, after citizens of Granbury, Tex. – located about 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth – had waited in vain for years for their local phone company to install a wireless communications network, key officers and engineers from the current 4G Metro team were engaged by municipal officials to design and install a WiFi network for the city.

Using metro mesh wireless services a wireless communications network was initially deployed to allow police officers to check records via the Web while on the road – among other applications. Later, wireless communications services were rolled out to the public; some of the private subscriber fees collected were then used to offset the cost of the cost of the city’s original deployment.

Wireless Communications for Public Transit
4G Metro is also an innovative provider of wireless communications technology, networks, news and entertainment programming and advertising for public transport. 4G Metro boasts truly unique expertise in this field: the company has both the collective knowledge and experience required to implement wireless communications networks – on a large scale – on both commuter ferries and rail systems. In the case of commuter boats, for example, the company’s current senior management contracted with the pubic transportation department of the City of Brisbane, Australia to roll out WiFi connectivity and entertainment programming displayed on on-board 40-inch LCD screens for the 2.4 million passengers per year who ride the city’s 17 City Cat ferries. This large-scale system was implemented free of charge to the city and was paid for by advertising running on the LCD screens, wireless client usage and roaming fees.

Everyone Benefits from Leading-Edge Wireless Communications
4G Metro’s business model is simple: to make the acquisition and operation of the latest wireless communications technology simple. By offering the networks, the technology and the programming free to municipalities … and recouping the costs through: a) very competitively priced advertising to captive audiences and b) equally fairly priced wireless subscription fees to end-users. Municipalities, in particular, gain from this model in at least two ways: they enjoy a revenue stream (from profit-sharing) and the public-relations and potential tax benefits associated with attracting corporate, political and tourist visitor traffic ...all with zero investment!
